Mission of Youth Ministry at Our Church
Some say that the young people are the future of our church. While that may be true to some extent, we at Roebuck Baptist Church believe that the youth are the church now. We have a very active youth group led by Chuck and Jill Miller. Our youth are a vital part of our worship and they serve as workers in the church. They are examples to our adults in the way they are eager to serve in missions both at home and around the world. Below are listed just a few things that they are involved in on a regular basis in our fellowship:
• Sunday Night Youth - This is our weekly Sunday night youth meeting that is full of fun, special worship time, Bible teaching and a great time of fellowship. They meet downstairs from 6:00 to 7:30.
• Discipleship Groups - Every student is encouraged to join a discipleship group. Everyone meets downstairs in the gym for a time of fellowship. Then they join together for 15 minutes before splitting up into small discipleship groups throughout the church. Discipleship is from 6:00 to 7:30 every Wednesday.
• Bible Study - Each Sunday morning the students meet in the youth room upstairs for a time of fellowship and breakfast. Then split into our 4 Bible study classes.
• Morning Prayer Time - Each Wednesday morning during the school year, many of our students meet in the youth room at 6:47 a.m. for prayer, and then go to Bojangles for breakfast.
