Roebuck is rapidly changing from a financial supporting mission church to a sending mission church. We have been sending teams to the Ashaninca people in the jungles of Peru to help their leaders become better leaders. We have sent medical teams, soccer teams, and leadership training teams and continue to support the work there.
This year we are taking on two new adventures. One of these is one district of Istanbul, Turkey and helping a new church plant in Boston. These two outreaches will challenge us in ways we have not been challenged before. This fall we will also be sending a team to the Appalachian region of Kentucky where we have been going for several years.
Our young people have been to Florida and Myrtle Beach doing mission work.
One of our young adult couples has gone with a group that traveled and worked in eleven countries in eleven months. They worked with kids in camps to those who were trying to escape the slave trade market.
We do not know what the future holds for Roebuck but we are very much aware that our Living Lord holds the future. We are on an exciting adventure with our Lord Jesus.
The Mission story of Roebuck is being lived out in many of our lives.
