We believe Jesus... knew who God was and that he was his kid. We believe our kids can know that too. We believe Jesus... grew up for a very specific purpose. We believe our kids can grow into their purpose too. We believe Jesus... served God with joy for the joy of all men. We believe our kids can serve God with joy too. At Roebuck Baptist Church we want you to know we take seriously the health and safety of your children. We have just completed a $40,000 upgrade to our nursery area with new safety measures, new toys and a great nursery committee. Listed below are the policies and procedures that we have set up to make you, the parent, very comfortable about leaving your child in our nursery. We believe that children are a very important part of the church and we take seriously the responsibility we have as a church to teach them. Along with a graded Sunday school department with well qualified teachers we also have many other activities for them to participate in throughout the year. We have an active children’s choir program that is split into two choirs, Primary Choir (age 4 through kindergarten) and Junior Choir (1st through 6th grade). These choirs meet during the school year. On Wednesday nights we have Mission Friends for pre-school children and Pioneer Club, where the children earn points for learning and activities, for elementary school children. In the summer we have the most exciting Vacation Bible School around for one week during the month of July. We also have other activities for the children during the summer. We also offer Upward Basketball from December through the end of February and Good News Club for the children at school. Pioneer Club Pioneer Club is our Wednesday night discipleship program for kids in 1st - 6th grade. The club is divided into two different groups: 1st - 3rd graders and 4th-6th graders. Each week, we study a specific passage from the Bible and talk about ways to apply the lessons to daily life. Kids learn through games, drama, and more. Kids study the Bible and earn points for memorization and bringing their Bibles to club. Each month they shop in our special Pioneer Club store. Each year, we participate in missions projects and learn about missions. Good News Club GNC meets at Roebuck Elementary School in the Cafeteria from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. each Friday during the school year. We partner with Bethlehem Baptist Church to provide workers, refreshments and programming for over 100 children each week. • This is our 7th year at Roebuck Elementary School • We use material from Child Evangelism Fellowship to teach the children • Many children have received Jesus Christ as their Savior at GNC each year • If they do not attend church, we encourage the children to plug into a local church. • We have outside activities like skating parties, swim parties and pizza parties during the summer to keep in contact with the kids • We are always looking for more workers. • Each worker is asked to take a table of children (6-10)
